Meet Jenny
Author, business owner, grief survivor, and firm believer that a person can wear sequins and a smile while also tending to life's "stuff." Because we ALL have our "stuff."
The short version
Jenny DeBolt has experienced tragic losses in her life that have blessed her with two life purposes: to help others live joyous lives, and to help others with their needs, or when they're in need. She puts these passionate purposes into everything she does.
Suicide & Sequins is the book Jenny wishes someone had handed her in the hardest season of her life. This page is where she shares the fuller story behind it.
"We can live a joyous life with grief — by working on our grief with intention, over time."
A Life of Service
In business, Jenny sometimes finds herself providing services for free or at cost, because she feels it's the right thing to do — or she'll offer a service she otherwise never would, simply because she can. She also helps employees at times more than most employers would, and in ways many employers and colleagues would frown upon (those unspoken, don't-cross-the-line no-no's). One of her mottos: "If you do the right thing, you can't go wrong."
A Shoulder to Cry On
In her personal life, Jenny always offers a confidential shoulder to cry on — especially while someone is in urgent or dire need. She doesn't hesitate to volunteer her time to help. She's always looking at, and showing, the bright side.
Community & H2O
Jenny is a community group volunteer facilitator for those experiencing suicide loss grief, and more. Having experienced many tragic losses of loved ones herself, she helps people live joyous lives with grief — cohesively, by working on their grief with intention over time.
The Book
She is the author and writer of Suicide & Sequins — her honest, faith-filled account of that journey, written so no one has to walk it without a map.
What's Next
Because she is mostly doing reactive suicide work, Jenny aspires to start her own non-profit organization — one that proactively helps those at suicide risk through non-clinical peer support groups, creating hope and self-love. She trusts in God to guide her on her path to love and serve.
